Morris and Malcolm have won BPIB and BPIS so are automatically Crufts Qualified... little Snicket will have to wait until after Crufts (and for his ears to come up) before he goes out.

BPIS and BPBIS at Northern and Eastern Counties Pap Club Champ Show

Last weekend I was thrilled when three of my puppies did very well at The Northern and Eastern Counties Papillon Club Champ Show. Malcolm and Reggie, at their first show achieved 1st and 2nd in Minor Puppy Dog under Judge David Roe (Sunshoo).. and Poppy gained a first in Minor Puppy Bitch under Bubbles Wood Davies (Claretta).

This put Malcolm and Poppy in competition with the Puppy Dog and Bitch winners, and they both rose to the occasion and achieved BPD and BPB. In the Puppy Challenge it was Malcolm who achieved Best Puppy In Show.

Morris Gets Best Puppy In Breed

I was thrilled on Friday when "Morrie" aka Farleysbane Morris Minor For Petitchien was awarded Best Puppy In Breed by Monique Van Brempt (Belgium) at Midland Counties Championship Show.

Morrie will never be the biggest boy in the class (lol) but happily sits within breed standard (currently 8.5 inches at 8 months old) ... so we will see how he matures, and how the judges view him as time goes by.

Milly is a Junior Champion

Great news today from Ireland is that Milly has achieved her fifth 1st Excellent in Junior today - which means that she is now a Junior Irish Champion. I am thrilled that she has managed this as she can now come home again. I have just booked my ferry to collect her LOL.

Happy Days Are Here Again

After a hectic couple of weeks, and a fraught day yesterday I can finally relax a little and enjoy our newest arrivals :-)

These gorgeous babies (2 girls and 2 boys) are from my Graycaz Take The Michael and Dolcissimo Best of Both Worlds (Irl)... linebred to both Crufts BOB Ch Graycaz Othello and Crufts BOB Ch Tussalud Storyteller...

All were a very clear tricolour at birth - fingers crossed that they thrive.

A Pleasing Litter

I forgot to say on the blog that Alfie (Petitchien's Alfie Moon) became a VDH Jnr Champion a few months ago. His litter sister Milly (Petitchien's Over The Moon) has also been doing well of late and is only one 1st Excellent away from achieving her Jnr Champions title in Ireland. Not to be outdone now we have the great news that litter brother Teddy has achieved a RDCC in Belfast at just over a year old.

I could not be happier :-)

I was thrilled to bits at Belfast Championship Show when Teddy won the RDCC. Teddy is only just 12 months old. Huge congratulations (and thanks) to his owners, Mary Whitehill and Sharon Johnson-Love.

The Irish Munster Circuit 2009

I have just spent ten days travelling around the Munster Show Circuit in Ireland with the kids - it was great fun - we picked up "Excellent" grades at all four shows for Emma and Milly - as well as two Green Stars and a Reserve for Milly - aged 11 months, and two Reserves for Emma. Not to be outdone little Morris also came along and picked up a 1st Very Promising in his first puppy class.

Here is Morris.... his first show will hopefully be in Ireland. So it will be two mums, 4 kids, and 5 show dogs in a caravan. Cant wait :-)

A Busy Month

We have had a really busy month... website to relocate, three championship shows to go to, and Alfie to go to Switzerland. The best bit was when Alfie was made best Papillon Puppy at The City of Birmingham Championship Show, followed closely by Milly - who was his runner up and best Bitch puppy... fingers crossed that some of this good luck stays with us ..............

Emma Gets a Reserve Ticket

Had a great day at the Papillon (Butterfly Dog) Club Championship Show on Sunday... Emma was first in Graduate Bitch and then went on to win the Reserve Bitch Challenge Certificate. She is pictured below with her trophies on the day - the Ringlands Bo-Peep Memorial Trophy and the Daffodillwoods Fruit Bowl.

Milly, Alfie and Teddy were also all in the cards - with Milly (this her first show) getting 3rd out of 21 in Minor Puppy Bitch - which automatically qualifies her for Crufts 2010.

Marooned in a Blizzard!!!

The fact that we are marooned on our mountain in the middle of a Blizzard is beyond the comprehension of the kids and dogs right now... but thankfully we have sufficient food, fuel and enthusiasm to sit it out.

Actually its not bad at all, except for the fact that my husband has had to stay over last night in the village where our business is - but some might not see that as a minus... lol...

Those furries and people at home are currently enjoying the snow immensely... and if the wind dies down sufficiently tomorrow I will try to take some snaps of the scenery too.

Show Training (or not...)

Well, as I have only got three months until these bundles of fun hit their first show then I thought I had better get my act together and try to consolidate some show training.... all three puppies are going through a period of teething at the moment and their previously wonderful ly erect ears are at various stages of droopiness as a result.

Evidently their dad took until seven months for his to get back to fully erect... I am hoping that it takes a little less time here.

First came Milly - sporting her usual singlemindedness at the thought of some chicken.... though as she had just been fed the urge to hold her good ear up was not as strong as usual.....

George was up next... he quite likes standing so long as I am dangling food in front of his nose...

As for Alfie - well I havent quite managed to get the message across yet... but we will get it sorted soon. He is hindered by his desire to pretend to be a Phalene - but we all know better (see below... taken just 20 minutes later....)

Improved results will hopefully follow soon :-)
